The Clerk's Office is the center of most Town business, the primary source of information concerning the Town and the administrator for all Freedom of Information requests. The Town Clerk's office issues State licenses/permits, maintains records of Town ordinances and local laws, annual budgets, bidding documentation, bonding information, and is the recording secretary for all Town Board meetings. The Town Clerk is also the Registrar of Vital Statistics and the Records Retention Officer for the the Town.

The following information is available from the Town Clerk:

Copies of Town Board Minutes

Available for a fee of $.25 per page. 

Minutes from 2011 and 2012 are available on the website.

Copies of Marriage Licenses and Birth or Death Record

Please call Town Clerk's Office for information.

The fee is $10.00 per copy

Zoning Code Books and Maps

Available for $25.00 per book and $10.00 per map.

Marriage Licenses

AN APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

Available up to 24 hours before the wedding, but no more than 60 days in advance. The bride and groom are required to establish age and identity by submitting one of the following :

Orignal Birth Certificate or a Certified Copy or Transcript

It must be professionally translated if it is not in English

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

Drivers License

Passport

Employment or picture ID

The fee for a marriage license is $40.00.

All past Divorce decrees and Death Certificates are REQUIRED

These copies must be stamped, certified filed copies only

Dog Licenses

All dogs over the age of 4 months must be vaccinated for rabies and must be licensed. The fee is $9.00 for a dog that has been altered and $19.00 otherwise. Applicants must submit vaccination certificate and altering certificate along with the appropriate fee.

Dumpster Days

Dump Tickets may be purchased for a one-week period (Mon - Sat; No Holidays) ONLY. Tickets MUST be used during designated week and are vaild at Royal Carting, Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  Please note that there are no refunds available for this program.

Hunting and Fishing Licenses

Hunters should bring their driver's license and either a previous hunting license of a hunter education certificate when applying. The fee varies according to the type of license.

Handicapped Parking Permits

Applications must be completed by the applicant and his or her physician and returned to the Town Clerk's office. The permit is issued for a period of up to five years and is valid in any handicapped parking space in New York State. Applicants must live in East Fishkill.

Voter Registration

Voter registration forms are available at the Town Clerk's office or on line at www.dutchessny.gov

The registration form must be completed and mailed to the Board of Election.

Absentee Ballots

Application forms are available from the Town Clerk's office and must be completed and returned to the Board of Elections. The Board will then send the ballot to the applicant.
